Is Your Brewery Taking Advantage of New Year’s Eve?
New Year’s Eve is less than a week away, and tons of people will be going out with family and friends to celebrate the start of a new year. Some will stay in and play board games, others will head out to a large local event, and many will be hitting various bars and breweries in their area. This is where you and your brewery come into play.
Breweries have a fantastic opportunity to increase their business by having a New Year’s Eve event – not only for the business they enjoy on the night itself but for returning customers who realize how awesome they are. If you play your cards right, they’ll want to come back over and over throughout 2018 and beyond – and they’ll tell their friends about it!
Even though you only have a week left before the special night, there’s still plenty you can do to make sure your event goes off without a hitch. Here are a few tips that you should implement between now and then:
Advertise Your Theme
Just having a New Year’s Eve celebration may feel like to enough, but if you can make your event truly unique, they’ll flock to your brewery. Maybe you’d like to hit the retro crowd and make the whole thing into any 80’s style dance party. Perhaps you want to celebrate where our technology is going and make it all about robots and maybe even outer space. Or you can reach further back and style everything after the 70’s, complete with bell bottoms and peace signs all over the place. The choice is yours, and you still have time to set it up!
Prepare the Staff
Suffice it to say, your staff is going to have a busy night, indeed. New Year’s Eve is typically an extremely busy time for breweries of all shapes and sizes. This is especially true if you’re holding a special event to celebrate the holiday. Throw in things like karaoke and a buffet and you could be looking at quite a crowd. You should discuss this fully with your staff so they’ll know what to expect and not get overwhelmed. You may even want to hire a few extra workers for the night to make sure your customers are taken care of efficiently and effectively.
Schedule Special Times
When organizing your New Year’s Eve event, you need to create a schedule for your patrons and not deviate from it. Your schedule will depend on what you plan to do throughout the night. Include things like karaoke, a special happy hour, a buffet, a live band, etc. Let everyone know the precise times that each will take place during the event and stick with it as much as possible. This will keep people from waiting around for no reason – and a happy customer is a paying customer!
Jump on Social Media
We simply cannot overemphasize the impact of using social media to advertise your event. Before the big night, make sure that you’re talking about it on several platforms like Twitter and Facebook. Create a Facebook event where people can discuss it and make plans. On the night itself, continue this trend and add pictures of the setup to get people excited, then pics of people have fun as the night goes on. Facebook and Instagram are perfect for this and will increase excitement throughout the night.
